Hello Everyone!  Thanks for visiting my donation page.  Any help you can give me towards my goal will be greatly appreciated.  It's a great cause and all donations are tax deductible.  For more details on the cause, read the quote at the bottom of the page.

Me in my Drayer Jersey

Training has already started for what will hopefully be my longest ride ever.  This is a 12 hour endurance ride, meaning I have 12 hours to cover as many miles of the course as I can.  I intend to ride until my legs wont move me anymore.  My longest ride at this point has been 103 miles.  For this, my goal is to try to hit 150 miles.

103 Miles

Current Best: 103 miles

From The Maryland Endurance Challenge website:

"SHIP (the Student’s Homeless Initiative Partnership of Frederick County) provides relief and support to the hundreds of Frederick County Public School (FCPS) students who are encountering homelessness.

We chose to take the initiative and do what’s right, take care of urgent needs, and do it now.

Working in tandem with FCPS and a number of Frederick County human service agencies, we are strictly focused on providing for these children in need.

Poverty and homelessness are pervasive within America’s schools, and our Frederick students are not immune. They exist in every city, town, village and hamlet within Frederick County. In School Year 2015-16, homeless students were located in 61 of the 66 county schools. This issue cuts across all grades and all ethnicities. And the numbers continue to grow each school year.

But with your help and support, we can work to provide these children with the things they need to help them lead normal lives. Things like clothing, and shoes, and food, and the ability to participate in activities like their peers.

Student homelessness isn’t going away, but when caring cyclists unite with the residents of Frederick County, and align ourselves to helping and supporting these children, wonderful things can happen for us all – especially for these children in need."
